For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10

When I revisit the first chapter of Genesis, I read how God said and it was; how He set and it was; how He created and it was; how God made and it was; how He called and it was; how God blessed and it was and then how He breathed and we were. This is a perfect reminder of just how magnificent and powerful God is. Does it not stand to reason that if He put that much thought into creation, how much more thought He put into us, His ultimate workmanship, created solely for His purpose? And because we are indeed a product of His workmanship, that we should do greater works (John 14:12)? I doubt seriously if God made or created anything that He did not have use or purpose for; all ordained of God, previously determined, predestined, and arranged beforehand.

When I think of us as His creation… I’m not really sure at what point we started putting limitations on God or why we don’t seek to cultivate our full potential in Him or not go forth utilizing the gifts and the talents He has placed in us for His glory and His purpose for our lives? I’m not sure if we can attribute it to the teaching or to the lack thereof, nonetheless it is of grave concern to me in this season that developing souls is not our main focal point. It saddens me when I think of our thought process and mindsets that most likely stem from a lack of study and a hunger for the Word, a lack of seeking God’s face for knowledge and understanding of His Word, as opposed to just taking what’s being said and heard at face value. Timothy tells us to “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” This is the only way that you can be assured that what you hear is in agreement with the Spirit of God. You cannot discern what truth is, rightly divide or process what you don’t know for yourself. Let alone knowing what the Word says concerning our life.

We need to get back to finding out who we were created to be and our purpose in God’s plan. There is so much that God wants to do through us in order to show others His glory, so that they too can become that beacon of light He intended for them to be. Let’s begin to recognize and walk in our gifts, let’s use them as God intended, to bring Him glory. The gifts God has placed and birthed in us for Kingdom work and not self promotion or self glory. There are souls are at stake, we have to make full proof of our ministry… one reaching one or one reaching many through the gifts and talents that have been placed in us.

There is so much more that God intended for us to do, it’s simple and yet profound. It is essential we understand what He wants from us as an individual. The reason being is simply because it is His will for us and because we'll see how our purpose captures the essence of God’s overall plan. I'm sure God is grateful that He doesn't have this concern with all of His other creations because they are doing what they were purposed to do... only man... even the angels asked God, "what is man that you are mindful of him?" Personally, I'm thankful and we should all be that He is mindful and gracious to us in spite of us and that His mercies are new every morning.

So glad that I’ve been immersed in His rich mercy and embraced with His love. He took my dead live and made me alive and by no goodness of my own, He has allowed me to sit in heavenly places in Him (verse 12). Ordained me even before I knew me. I was His piece of creative artistry, his workmanship, created, formed, shaped, molded for good works unto Him! We can rejoice in knowing that this is our course of life, our journey … let’s not only walk in it but let’s tell others so they will also know they were of His divine intentions… created on purpose for purpose!

Until the morning, be blessed,
Cynde
