Psalm 68:7-9, 19
When I began to read, I had need of writing this passage in the words that I was hearing in my spirit, it started by saying “Lord! when You march through my wilderness before me, You lead me and protect me from dangers seen and unseen, You provide the light by night and a shade by day; You make sure that I am fed as You send down food from heaven to nourish me; You move mountainous circumstances; cause situations to tremble; You send rain in abundance to shower and refresh my weary soul as You march me out of my wilderness experiences. You remind me, when I’m weary and worn during my journey that I am Yours and that You are my source for life; You supply all of my needs and that you never burden me with more than I can bear. This is not just occasionally, but each day you are making provisions on my behalf. You continually remind me that You are there for me and most importantly, You have made me a partaker of Your inheritance (Col 1:12)!
This psalm confirms His love and concern for us. It is filled with the moving presence of God and we are (well I am) constantly in awe at the presence of God and how His presence can change any condition. Change has to occur when His presence begins to move in our circumstance or our situation. He is God, and "is there anything too hard for Him?" If the heavens drop down food and rain at His presence; if Mount Sinai was shaking and moved by His presence, if the earth shook uncontrollably at His presence ... how much more should we, His creation, the ones He gives to daily with His many benefits, the ones that even the angels question as to why He is so mindful of, be willing to get into His presence, worship Him and watch Him move? As we begin this week, Let’s get in that place where we believe God will be a moving presence in our lives and where we will begin to take comfort in the fact that He is the God of our salvation! Selah!
Until the morning, be blessed!
